THANK YOU - We raised over $80,000!
Annual Fundraising Breakfast
Words cannot express the gratitude we have for those who make it possible for the people we serve to have fulfilling lives through employment and inclusion.
Congratulations to Davis Wright Tremaine for being recognized as AtWork!'s Employer of the Year for 2017. Partnering with AtWork!, DWT's Bellevue office hired Paige and Arthur. Another DWT west coast office has hired a person with disabilities and others are considering doing the same!
Thank you all for your support, encouragement and donations at our Annual Fundraising Breakfast. We raised over $80,000, with donations still making their way to AtWork!. Your contributions mean mission achieved, more people served, more jobs, more lives transformed. Because of you, we continue to Change the Face of Employment, one person at a time.
If you weren't able to attend and would still like to donate, please

In August 2016, she let us know her dream job was working at Trader Joe's and preferably the West Seattle Trader Joe's about half a mile from her home.
A couple of months ago, she was so excited and happy to know she got hired! She is doing awesome and is joining a supportive team at Trader Joe's.
They are all happy she's on board!
Pearce was a late entry into the School-to-Work program waiting for funding approval. Fortunately, his job coach, Daniel, worked hard for three months to get him into services and he was finally enrolled in the program!
He is currently in his third week of work at Pizza Hut and his duties include prep work and general cleaning tasks. This week, he will learn how to make the pizzas!

We are proud of you, Wally Tablit!
We are pleased to announce that our VP of Employment Services, Wally Tablit, has been elected to serve on the National APSE Board of Directors for the 2017-2018 term. Wally was selected for this prestigious position by peers and leaders in the Employment First movement across the country.
APSE is the only national organization with an exclusive focus on integrated employment and career advancement opportunities for individuals with disabilities. It has chapters in 38 states and years ago, Wally helped the Washington state start our WA APSE chapter. As a founding member and now President, he has attended over 11 National Conferences, and has presented at over 6 of them.
Wally is also a national consultant and trainer on various topics to promote supported employment, because apart from his extensive experience, he loves what he does. As he once stated: "I lead by example and experience, as well as with humor and knowledge. I often wear my heart on my sleeve, and I do so with a song in my heart. My passion and commitment for creating an equitable world for people of all abilities is also driven by that belief. People should be allowed to experience their life to the maximum capacity that it can be, driven by their choice, their skills, their desires, and their basic needs".
Congratulations, Wally for your great contribution as a Leader on Employment First!
