Because you use MailChimp, I figured you might be interested in some software I’ve been building with my cofounder Zack Gilbert.
For years I was unhappy that I couldn’t use MailChimp’s ecommerce features since I wasn’t selling products using Shopify or Magento. So I hired Zack to build a custom solution for me that could track ecommerce information for my MailChimp lists.
The day we launched that solution I began to see the potential of combining ecommerce data and subscribers. I could instantly identify who had purchased what. I could segment campaigns to people who had not purchased, or I could remove folks from sales funnels if they bought a few emails in. I felt the power of targeted emails and being able to examine revenue and order data in MailChimp. Needless to say, I was hooked.
Since I teach the Chimp Essentials course, students see my MailChimp dashboard a lot because I do a ton of walk-throughs. Every time I’d do a webinar or show someone how to do something in MailChimp, they’d stop me when they saw revenue numbers on the dashboard, and wouldn’t even let me finish what I was walking through. I got a resounding, “WHAT IS THAT… I WANT THAT TOO.” And Fixtail was born.
