I'm writing to invite you to our upcoming April events:
Wednesday April 12th @8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Revolutionary Healing; Paving the Way Conference
We invite you to the third iteration of a dynamic conference, Revolutionary Healing; Paving the Way to Healing and Recovery. The conference will focus on innovative –dare we say revolutionary healing practices for young men of color who have been harmed by violence. Register for this year’s conference here.
Wednesday April 19th @6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - S.O.S. Volunteer Information Session
For new volunteers or those who have been unable to attend an S.O.S. volunteer information session yet, join us at 256 Kingston Ave to meet our team, learn about what we do and how you can get involved as a volunteer at one of our upcoming events. Spread the word!
Saturday April 22nd @2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - S.O.S. Bed-Stuy Peace March
We invite the community to come out and march for a peaceful Bed-Stuy free of shootings. We want to create a safer Bed-Stuy for everyone. We march for peace. Will you? April 22nd, 2-4 pm starting at 677 Lafayette Ave. We are looking for a volunteer photographer to photograph this event.
Saturday May 20th @6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Kingston Avenue Festival!
Save the Date!
Join the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center for a two-block neighborhood celebration and afternoon filled with art, music, performances, games and fun at our annual Kingston Avenue Festival! We are in need of volunteer support for this event; if you are interested in joining the Kingston Avenue Festival volunteer committee, please email [email protected] We will also need a volunteer photographer and videographer to photograph and film throughout the day.
Thursday May 25th @6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Arts to End Violence Gallery Showcase
Join us for an evening of art. his event is the culmination of months of anti-violence art programming through the Mediation Center. The show will feature youth, adult, and professional art that centers around themes of violence, peace, community, trauma, and healing. We will need of a volunteer photographer for this event.
